Tekweni
Backpackers Hostel was established in 1992 making it one of the
first 5 hostels in South Africa. Tekweni is located in a large
colonial home (built in 1896) in the heart of the vibrant suburb of
Morningside. We built our reputation on our festive atmosphere and
fun loving approach. Our years of experience have resulted in us
having facilities to cater for pretty much everything a backpacker
needs. These include:

You will
find pubs, clubs, restaurants and markets on the doorstep. Prop up
our poolside bar, catch some rays, groove to the tunes or "kick some
butt" around the pool table. Within stumbling distance of shops,
banks, post office and everything; 2 kilometres from the beach, 2
kilometres from the bus station and town. The area is safe (as is
most of Durban) and we have substantial safe parking in our
driveway.
